
Walmart is looking for crypto and digital currency experts. The job of “Digital Currency and Cryptocurrency Product Lead” will drive the vision for the development of digital currency and product roadmap.
Walmart is a North American retail giant that operates hypermarkets, discount department stores, and grocery stores.
According to the advertisement, the company is looking for an expert who would “identify customer needs and translate them into product requirements.” He should also be able to “identify crypto-related investments and partnerships.”
Walmart has hinted at the adoption of crypto payments saying:

The basic requirements for the job are a bachelor’s degree but preferably an MBA, 10 years of experience in product management, experience in cryptocurrency, and developing strategy and roadmap execution. However, the salary was not mentioned.
Walmart’s future digital currency and crypto product lead would be based in the company’s home office in Bentonville, Arkansas.
The job was offered just after its rival, Amazon posted a job advertisement for a cryptocurrency and blockchain product lead. But soon after the speculations started doing rounds that the company would accept crypto payments, Amazon denied all the reports of accepting BTC.
This year, Walmart created a fintech venture called “Hazel,” which could reportedly be poised to offer a wide range of financial services integrated into a “mobile-first ‘super-app.‘”
Walmart has also experimented with blockchain technology for non-financial purposes, such as tracking drugs and food along the supply chain.
