Dubai’s tech ambitions don’t stop at AI and Web3 businesses. The city has been actively embracing the crypto revolution by granting operational licenses to cryptocurrency exchanges. Just in August, Nomura’s crypto arm, Laser Digital Middle East, secured a coveted operating license from Dubai’s Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority. This license empowers Laser Digital to offer broker-dealer, virtual asset management, and investment services within the emirate.
